Reader Friendly: What's in a Name?

Sigh. So the new Young Justice is pretty good right. I'm talking about the third series of the much beloved animated series that just got a revival series which is pretty good itself, but the new Brian Michael Bendis comic series written under his Wonder Comics line is a fun and breezy comic book with a lot of fan favourite characters and fun little adventures. It's probably a great book for new readers. But recently there has been quote-on-quote controversy with how one character is handled. They changed Tim Drake's codename to... Drake. Shock! Horror!

Yeah and the controversy is that he's named after a duck. Okay, pretty silly reasoning, but like Robin is also a bird as well and it's seems pretty minor compared to Dick Grayson getting a concussion and now being called Ric or Robin currently running a small Guantanamo Bay. Yes this is real. Look name changes are common place in comics as is surprise deaths and relaunches and it probably might change down the line and that's pretty much it. I don't think this is vindictive of any big cultural things right now.
